I just wanted to call attention to some websites/blogs that have come to my attention as of late:
This is a great resource for staying up-to-date on sometimes underreported humanitarian emegencies. Lots of news regading disease epidemics, famine outbreaks, wars, etc.
MySociety Blogs is chock-full of really interesting ideas for community-oriented software projects. It's really well organized too.
Simply one of the best blogs I've seen in a long time.
This is a group of people in Lexington, KY doing open, non-for-profit research into neural implants, non-invasive neural interfaces, artifical intelligence, and other such topics. It's reeealy cool.
I've had this on the links bar for a while now but I just wanted to call attention to it. This is the website of the pFARM people. For those of you that don't already know, pFARM is an intentional community in Woodstock, New York that combines saso-masochistic fetish practices, biotechnology, and organic farming. Im other words, these people are my heros. Lots of pictures are available on the site.
